They say that building a house can be one of the most stressful things a person can do in their lifetime. Brad at Bradford Homes made our experience a most delightful experience.

When we started planning our new home, we met with five builders. Each one looked at our plans and all but one said "yes we can build it for you at this price", end of story. Not Brad, he first wanted to come and see the sight. After a couple of days he met with us again and had some really good ideas and changes that we had not even thought of. He took advantage of our view of the east meadow, west mountains and south open view. From our kitchen we can see each of these areas and the sun exposure is excellent. As a new homebuilder we had an idea of what we wanted but not the experience of how to make it a reality, Brad does. With three little boys we needed space but did not want such a huge house that we could not find anyone. Brad listened to all our concerns and acted on them. He also changed our deck from just behind the house to wrap around the kitchen/nook area. Again we have sun exposure from any place on the deck. Brad even came out to the sight and staked out our house himself, positioning it for us, to show us how it would take advantage of all the views. The personal one-on-one service Brad gave us was just non-existent with the other builders we met with.

Bradford Homes trades people are very professional. We had friends building at the same time as us and they were constantly finding no workers at their sight. This was not the case with our home. There was always something going on. As we only lived 5 kms from the new sight we were constantly checking on progress. As work progressed, when we would find something we would like to change there were no problems with getting them implemented. We were able to talk right to the trades and have them explain what they were doing; we liked this, as we caught little things at the time they were being done and we were not left wishing later that we should have changed something.

Our pride and joy is our kitchen. We had looked at the cabinet making companies and could not find what we really wanted. Brad then brought in his custom cabinetmakers and what a job they did! Our kitchen is very spacious, but very efficient. The maple cabinets, with the use of large crown mouldings, just makes the kitchen one you love to be in. The details and the fine points are just incredible, including a separate Maple hood fan and a workable desk, not just a phone desk. They even pointed out things like the height of cabinets so the ornaments on top would be visible.

As for Brad, he was constantly either at the sight or communicating by phone. Even through a very difficult time Brad had to endure with his family, he continued to act professional and took care of our concerns. He is a builder that you feel very comfortable with and who is genuinely concerned about your new home and your wishes. Brad is very much a builder that cares and takes great pride in his work. We are very happy that we chose Bradford Homes to build our new home and we would highly recommend Brad Bevans.
